Vision
Originally begun as an independent work in 1917, the Guatemala ministry joined EFM in 1960. Today its many churches and ministry institutes are under the direction of local leadership. Missionary Keith Schaper is guiding the ministry through continued transition to full local leadership.

Hope Evangelical Bilingual Academy
Through Christian education, we are changing the lives of K-9 students in Jalapa, Guatemala. With capacity for over 200 students, we hope to add upper-level grades as God leads and provides. The academy’s local board of directors consists of highly educated and experienced Christian teachers.

The Emmanuel Churches
The national church association presently consists of 120 locally led congregations and 17 new church plants spread throughout the country. We’re excited about what God is doing in the Emmanuel Churches.

Emmanuel Bible Institute
The institute is training the next generation of Christian leaders throughout Guatemala. Institute professors travel between one primary campus and several satellite campuses to ensure Christians all over the country receive the opportunity for training.
