Ministering In: Costa Rica

Children: Larissa, Eleyna, and Nathanael

Zack and Sarah are serving in the Cartago province of Costa Rica. Their vision is to see the church established and new churches planted. Currently their focus is on building relationships and discipling the church people.

Zack was born in Lancaster, OH. He attended Christian school and was genuinely converted as a teenager. He felt led to attend Union Bible College, where he received a confirmation of his call to missions and met Sarah. He graduated with a bachelors degree in religion in 2005.

Sarah was born in Comayaguela, Honduras, to EFM missionary parents, Merton and Isabel Rundell. Her grandparents, Merton and Emma Rundell, also served with EFM in Guatemala. She was saved at the age of three and from a young age, she knew she should be a missionary. She graduated from Union Bible College with a bachelor’s degree in Christian education in 2003.

Zack and Sarah served with EFM in Honduras from 2006-2012. Zack worked for a few years at the home office in Bedford, then from 2018-2024, they were involved in Christian school work in Ottawa, KS. In 2024 they accepted the call to Costa Rica.

Zack and Sarah have three children: Larissa, Eleyna, and Nathanael.
